Amapola supported Terra.con in developing its 2025 Sustainability Report and renewing its EcoVadis assessment, which resulted in the company being awarded a Silver Medal.

A Sustainability Report better aligned with the needs of an SME, alongside an independent assessment designed to evaluate the strength of its ESG approach. These were the two areas we worked on with Terra.con, a Benefit Corporation based in Carmagnola specialising in foundation works, soil and rock consolidation and ground reinforcement.
Amapola supported the company in developing its 2025 Sustainability Report and renewing its EcoVadis assessment. The process resulted in Terra.con receiving a Silver Medal, awarded to companies ranking among the top 15% of organisations assessed by EcoVadis.
A report built around VSME
The 2025 edition marks a further step in the evolution of Terra.con’s sustainability reporting. After previous editions based on the GRI Standards, the new report was developed with reference to VSME, the voluntary standard developed by EFRAG to reflect the characteristics and information needs of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Terra.con in 2025
The report portrays a growing company: in 2025, Terra.con employed 94 people and generated €20.8 million in economic value, 13% more than in 2024.
On the environmental front, energy consumption decreased from 9,125 to 7,031 MWh, while Scope 1 and 2 emissions fell from 2,139 to 1,648 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent. Terra.con’s Carmagnola headquarters also uses a geothermal system that supplied approximately 169 MWh of thermal energy in 2025, of which 129 MWh came from the renewable environmental component.
Investment in people also increased. Training hours rose from 1,428 to 3,140, equivalent to an average of 33.4 hours per employee. Almost 70% of all training focused on occupational health and safety. In March 2025, Terra.con also achieved UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification for gender equality.
From sustainability reporting to the EcoVadis assessment
Alongside the reporting process, Amapola supported Terra.con with the renewal of its EcoVadis assessment, analysing the company’s starting position, mapping the available data, reviewing supporting evidence and preparing the documentation required for submission.
The Silver Medal awarded at the end of the process places Terra.con among the top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis. The result provides independent recognition of the policies, actions and management tools developed by the company across the areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
“Although the Sustainability Report and EcoVadis serve different purposes, they become more valuable when they are approached as part of the same journey,” says Giulia Devani, Head of Reporting and ESG Strategy at Amapola. “Reporting helps a company understand, structure and manage its data, while an external assessment provides a way to evaluate the robustness of its policies, actions and supporting evidence. Our work with Terra.con shows how these tools can reinforce one another and provide tangible support for the organisation’s continued development.”
The collaboration will continue next year, with the preparation of the sustainability reporting document covering the 2026 financial year.
