For the third consecutive year, we have supported Dimensione Ambiente in reporting on its environmental, social and governance performance. This year’s report takes a closer look at waste management, biodiversity and the supply chain.
Go to the project
A growing business, an increasingly structured approach to managing its impacts, and a stronger commitment to transparency. Dimensione Ambiente has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, building on a reporting journey launched with Amapola in 2024.
Part of the Capra Group, Dimensione Ambiente provides environmental services, specialising in the management, treatment, recovery and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste. With operations spanning several Italian regions, the Group is an established player in an industry that has a vital role to play in the transition to a circular economy.
The new report presents the Group’s achievements in 2025 while offering deeper insights into key areas of its business, from waste traceability and engagement with local communities to biodiversity protection.
Dimensione Ambiente: 2025 in figures
2025 marked another year of growth for the Group, with a value of production of €133.5 million and EBITDA exceeding €19 million. This strong performance was also recognised externally: Dimensione Ambiente S.p.A. ranked first in the waste treatment and disposal sector in the eighth edition of Champions, a report published by Corriere della Sera Economia and ItalyPost.
Looking ahead, the Group has outlined a €43 million investment programme for 2026–2028, laying the groundwork for the next phase of its industrial development.
In terms of environmental performance, the Group managed over 1.1 million tonnes of waste, both directly and through intermediaries. This included approximately 771,000 tonnes of non-hazardous waste and 350,000 tonnes of hazardous waste.
The report also highlights the Group’s people and organisational performance: 104 employees and more than 1,400 hours of training. These figures reflect the development of the organisation and its continued investment in building internal expertise.
Sustainability reporting that reflects the realities of the business
In a complex, highly regulated industry such as waste management, transparency, regulatory compliance and traceability are essential to responsible business practices.
One of the report’s most significant developments is the first mapping of strategic suppliers. Covering 188 suppliers, the analysis examines their geographical distribution and the economic significance of each relationship. This marks an initial step towards gradually extending sustainability reporting across the wider value chain.
Biodiversity also receives greater attention. For the first time, the Group has mapped the location of its facilities in relation to environmentally sensitive areas, taking into account their proximity and the characteristics of the surrounding territories.
Together, these developments point to an important shift: sustainability is becoming increasingly embedded in how the Group understands, measures and manages its operations, helping to guide its continued growth.
How Amapola supported Dimensione Ambiente
For the third consecutive year, we worked alongside Dimensione Ambiente to produce its Sustainability Report, overseeing data collection, content development and document design and layout.
Our role involved bringing together complex technical and operational information and turning it into a clear, accessible narrative for the Group’s stakeholders.
Our goal was to provide a meaningful picture of the Group’s performance and make sustainability reporting a valuable tool not only for communicating results, but also for supporting the organisation’s ongoing development.
