Oscar di Bilancio 2026: putting people, relationships and reporting at the heart of change

Oscar di Bilancio 2026 - Tappa di Torino

The national Oscar di Bilancio Roadshow stopped in Turin to explore the role of sustainability reporting in the twin digital and sustainability transition. Among the speakers was Sergio Vazzoler from Amapola, Coordinator of FERPI’s Sustainability Committee.

A sustainability report can help shape the future, strengthen relationships and foster the dialogue organisations need to evolve. This was one of the key messages from the Turin stop of the Oscar di Bilancio 2026 Roadshow, held on 14 October under the theme “Shaping the Future: Reporting at the Heart of the Twin Transition.”

Organised by FERPI’s Piedmont and Aosta Valley Delegation, the event took place at the Piedmont Regional Government headquarters, bringing together representatives from public institutions, businesses, academia and the non-profit sector to discuss how sustainability reporting can help organisations navigate ongoing transformations. Students from UniFERPI Piemonte also attended.

Among the speakers was Sergio Vazzoler, Head of Institutional Relations at Amapola and Coordinator of FERPI’s Sustainability Committee, who explored the significance of the Oscar di Bilancio awards and the role of reporting in the twin transition.

Putting people and relationships at the heart of change

Sustainability and digital transformation are reshaping how organisations operate, make decisions and engage with their stakeholders. People and relationships must remain the compass guiding these changes.

Listening, engaging stakeholders and finding common ground between different needs and perspectives are essential to driving meaningful, inclusive transformation.

From this perspective, sustainability reporting also serves as a tool for building relationships. It encourages dialogue, makes organisational decisions more transparent and helps strengthen trust between organisations and their stakeholders.

Sustainability reporting as a compass for strategic decisions

Another key theme of the discussion was the strategic value of reporting. A sustainability report can serve as a navigation dashboard, helping organisations understand where they are heading, how quickly they are progressing and, most importantly, when they need to adjust course.

Measuring performance and impacts provides valuable insights for identifying risks and opportunities, assessing the effectiveness of actions taken and guiding future investments.

Reporting can therefore become an integral part of decision-making, helping organisations strengthen their resilience, adapt to change and create long-term value.

Bringing sustainability reports to life beyond the document

To deliver their full potential, sustainability reports need to reach beyond the specialists directly involved in reporting, engaging a wider range of internal and external audiences.

This was the central theme of a roundtable featuring organisations with strong ties to the local community, including GL events Italia, the Italian Red Cross – Turin Committee, CSI Piemonte and the University of Turin.

Making data, achievements and objectives accessible requires clear language, effective communication tools and opportunities for meaningful dialogue and participation.

It is precisely where measurement, communication and relationships come together that sustainability reporting can become a powerful tool for stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
