DIFE’s 2022 sustainability report
DIFE SpA is a leading company in the industrial waste management and environmental services sector for small, medium and large companies. Founded in 1978, it operates in Tuscany with plants authorized for the treatment of all types of waste, hazardous and non-hazardous. For the company, sustainability is central to the business model: environmental protection, employee growth and attention to the community are an integral part of the strategy of a company that bases its operation on the circular economy. In its 45th year of activity, DIFE undertook the path of reporting sustainability indicators related to 2022 to testify to its commitment to sustainability and the circular economy. DIFE’s 2022 Sustainability Report identifies the perimeter of sustainability objectives and targets defined by the company and measures performance through selected indicators. The company drafted the document by referring to the Global Reporting Initiative international guidelines (GRI 2021 guidelines), to enable comparison with other realities in the sector and clearly highlight the company’s sustainability initiatives by referring to a recognized model. The initiatives carried out in 2022 are also integrated with information, facts and key numbers relating to the company’s milestones with reference to recent years. The document enhances the principles of the circular economy, to which it dedicates thematic highlights to explore the state of the art and national and international context: a solution that accompanies the user in understanding a sector often perceived as too technical and distant. The company has identified nine United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) closely linked to its activities, a true guide for Dife’s future actions. Amapola supported the company in defining the reporting strategy and drafting the document, from textual content to graphic-visual proposal. The 2022 sustainability report adopts clear, transparent and engaging communication, with the aim of reaching all stakeholders and transparently and authentically telling the company’s journey.
