A2A and its territorial sustainability reports
A2A, Italian multiutility and “Life Company” that deals with environment, water and energy, has a long-term history on sustainability, transparency and proximity to territories. Since 2015, alongside the Integrated Report, it publishes Territorial Sustainability Reports, to tell and allow all citizens to evaluate the Group’s commitment and results in the territories where it operates.
Since 2021, Amapola has been responsible for writing the multiutility’s territorial reports. The agency, starting from the first six reports it handled (Milan, Bergamo, Brescia, Piedmont, Valtellina and Valchiavenna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, all referring to the 2020 financial year) has proposed a new format and handled content editing and graphic-visual framework. In 2022 and 2023, moreover, among the Reports handled by Amapola were also added those dedicated to Sicily, Puglia, Calabria and Seregno/Brianza.
Starting from the 2020 edition, the narrative of A2A’s territorial sustainability reports unfolds along three keywords, Planet, People, Community, areas identified by the World Economic Forum with the document “Towards Common metrics and consistent Reporting of Sustainable Value Creation”. The documents contain a synthetic but exhaustive description of the commitments, actions and results achieved by the Group in the three dimensions of sustainability. Particular attention is dedicated to the value shared with the territories, in terms of relationships with suppliers and communities, and to the social initiatives on which A2A is committed. Each Report is drafted to highlight the specificity of each territory and the relationship with the community that A2A has established over the years.
Communication tools
Amapola handled the content editing and graphic layout of A2A’s territorial reports. Every year, the multiutility presents the documents during the multistakeholder meetings it holds in each territory. The reports are designed for streamlined and agile digital fruition. Texts, tables and icons alternate to make consultation simple and immediate and favor understanding of the various topics addressed. The style reflects A2A’s visual identity, essential, elegant and immediately recognizable.
Each territorial report is interactive and enriched with links to external contributions to allow users to continue exploring the projects on A2A digital channels.
The territorial reports are visible on the A2A website, in the section dedicated to sustainability:
