Repack’s EcoVadis journey
Repack, part of the Capra Group and specialising in the recovery, reconditioning and recycling of industrial plastic packaging, partnered with Amapola to undertake its EcoVadis sustainability assessment, successfully earning a Bronze Medal.
Amapola supported the company throughout the preparation and assessment process, helping organise ESG data, documentation and policies in line with the questionnaire’s requirements. The Bronze Medal recognises companies ranked in the top 35% of businesses assessed by EcoVadis.
Through an initial ESG assessment and a structured review of action plans, management practices and reporting tools, the project also helped strengthen Repack’s internal understanding of environmental, social and governance issues.
Amapola’s consulting approach
Amapola provided Repack with ongoing, flexible ESG consulting support throughout its first EcoVadis assessment cycle.
The engagement covered every key stage of the process, from mapping existing documentation and reviewing supporting evidence to checking and updating ESG policies and documents, and completing the questionnaire on the EcoVadis platform.
Close collaboration with Repack’s internal team ensured continuity, streamlined information management and provided step-by-step guidance in compiling the evidence required for the assessment.
Documentation review and ESG policies
A key part of the engagement involved collecting and analysing the company’s existing documentation. This enabled Amapola to map available evidence, identify any gaps and improve the alignment of supporting materials with EcoVadis assessment criteria.
Amapola also helped Repack review and update relevant ESG documents and policies, making existing and emerging commitments, processes and management practices clearer and more explicit.
The project concluded with hands-on support in completing the EcoVadis questionnaire and uploading the required information to the platform.
The value of the project
Achieving the EcoVadis Bronze Medal marks an important milestone in Repack’s ESG journey, strengthening its sustainability profile and providing structured recognition of its environmental, social and governance practices.
For Amapola, the project demonstrates the value of practical, step-by-step ESG consulting. Rather than simply completing a questionnaire, the engagement provided a structured approach that helped Repack organise its documentation, strengthen existing practices and build the knowledge and capabilities needed to approach future ESG assessments with greater confidence.
