Amapola supported Gruppo Enercom in the evolution of its sustainability reporting project, working across content, graphic design and communication assets to make ESG data, commitments and achievements more accessible and engaging.
A Sustainability Report is a valuable tool for companies seeking to communicate their ESG journey clearly and share their achievements with different stakeholder groups. This is the approach adopted by Gruppo Enercom for its 2025 This Sustainability Report, developed with the support of Amapola.
The project focused on transforming a reporting document into an integrated system of content and communication tools designed for both internal and external audiences.
Gruppo Enercom: energy, people and local communities
Gruppo Enercom is one of Italy’s leading privately owned energy utilities. With more than 70 years of experience, it comprises eight operating companies, primarily rooted in Lombardy, Piedmont and Veneto.
Its activities span renewable energy generation; the supply of electricity, gas and energy-efficiency solutions; gas distribution; and the construction and maintenance of transmission networks. Gruppo Enercom operates in both the B2B and B2C markets, supported by a network of local retail branches.
The 2025 Sustainability Report highlights a journey centred on people, the environment and the relationship with the communities in which Gruppo Enercom operates.
Key figures for the year include 456 employees at the end of 2025 and 121 new hires, 38% of whom were under the age of 30. In addition, 94% of employees were covered by the gender equality management system.
On the environmental front, Gruppo Enercom aims to reach 100 MW of installed renewable energy capacity by 2030. It also contributed more than €330,000 to initiatives supporting local communities.
These figures reflect the many different dimensions of sustainability. Communicating them effectively therefore requires formats and language that make complex information immediate, clear and easy to understand.
From reporting to storytelling: Amapola’s contribution
Amapola provided communication-focused editing for the report, working on its structure, headline strategy and overall narrative approach.
A working on its structure, headline strategy detailed analysis of the content helped identify a unifying narrative capable of connecting topics, data and initiatives, while guiding readers through the document using clear and accessible language.
The editorial work was complemented by the graphic design of the reporting documents. For the full Sustainability Report, Amapola developed a clean and carefully structured layout designed to make texts, data and tables easier to navigate.
The summary edition adopted a more visual, infographic-led approach, turning the report’s main findings into an immediate and impactful story.
One report, multiple ways to communicate sustainability
The report and’s highlights were transformed into agile communication assets for both internal and external use. These included a postcard and five social media cards designed to present key commitments, actions and achievements at a glance.
Amapola also translated the report’s core content into an animated 2D infographic video. Designed to summarise Gruppo Enercom’s sustainability journey in approximately two minutes, the video provides a dynamic and highly shareable format.
The project also extended to the digital dimension, with the development of an enhanced Sustainability section for the corporate website. Based on the report’s infographic summary, the new section features a richer and more dynamic structure designed to showcase ESG goals, data and progress over time.
This is how a Sustainability Report can express its full potential: when a wealth of information becomes a story that lives beyond the document itself, adapts to different channels and reaches stakeholders, employees and local communities through different yet consistent forms of communication.
