Dimensione Ambiente’s 2024 Sustainability Report: a journey that continues
A specialist operator in turnkey waste management—from the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste to the construction and management of landfill sites, from the remediation of contaminated sites to cross-border waste shipments—Dimensione Ambiente chose to strengthen its ESG reporting by continuing the journey it began with its first Sustainability Report.
In 2024, the company confirmed Amapola as its partner for the development of the new Sustainability Report, with the aim of evolving the document from a voluntary report into a strategic tool for transparency, consistency and dialogue with the market.
Amapola’s role in the project
Amapola supported Dimensione Ambiente in defining the report’s methodological framework, aligning it with the VSME Standards, the new European reference framework for SMEs reporting on sustainability, while maintaining consistency with the GRI Standards to ensure quality, comparability and continuity of data. Although the report does not fall within the scope of the CSRD requirements, it draws on European best practices, bringing the company’s reporting model closer to stakeholder expectations.
The project began with internal training: a dedicated session for the Group’s people made it possible to share the ESG strategy, explain the purpose and value of the Report, and prepare the team for active involvement in the following stages.
One of the project’s key milestones was the materiality analysis, which was further developed compared with the previous edition. Amapola designed and managed a multi-stakeholder questionnaire for suppliers, employees and customers, supporting Dimensione Ambiente in interpreting the results.
At the same time, Amapola worked on collecting and organising ESG data, translating the material topics into indicators updated for 2024. On this basis, the structure of the Report was developed, with clear chapters and data presented in a readable way and framed within the company’s overall strategy.
The Amapola team also handled content editing, the development of titles and copy, graphic design and final layout, curating tables, charts and infographics to make the Report clear and accessible while ensuring consistency with Dimensione Ambiente’s visual identity.
A new online page dedicated to sustainability
The project was completed with the creation of the Group’s new “Sustainability” webpage, bringing the Report’s key contents online. The page presents the company’s ESG vision, results, material topics and impact areas through accessible language and a structure designed to support easy navigation, turning the Report from a static document into an ongoing, updatable access point to the company’s sustainability journey.
