Taking the first steps towards sustainability reporting together
Teknopont is an Italian company specialising in metal scaffolding, thermal insulation installation and removal, asbestos remediation, industrial roofing and industrial painting.
For its first Sustainability Report, covering 2025, the company partnered with A3i, the business network formed by Amapola and 3i Efficientamento Energetico. The project brought together consulting, technical and editorial expertise to structure ESG information and develop reporting and communication tools tailored to the company’s operations and needs.
The process began with an initial review of the company’s documentation and activities, supported by discussions with internal teams and a kick-off workshop. These steps helped identify material sustainability topics, priority stakeholders and the key business functions to involve in the project.
ESG data and emissions measurement
Environmental, social and governance data were collected in accordance with the European VSME Standard (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs).
Alongside this, drawing on the technical expertise of 3i Efficientamento Energetico, the project included calculating Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol, covering both emissions from sources owned or controlled by the company and indirect emissions associated with purchased and consumed energy.
Making sustainability reporting clear and accessible through content and design
As part of the project, Amapola also led the development of the report’s editorial structure, content writing, graphic design and layout. The editorial approach brought together ESG data, performance and initiatives in a clear, accessible narrative, supported by a visual hierarchy designed to guide readers through the report and make key information easier to understand.
