Responsibility. A circular challenge: Riccoboni Holding’s first Sustainability Report

In 2022 Riccoboni Holding voluntarily published its first Sustainability Report, related to the 2021 fiscal year, entrusting Amapola with the drafting and graphic-visual design of the document. A choice that consolidates the Group’s ESG path, in the direction of transparency, concreteness and dialogue with stakeholders. Founded in 1964 as a family business, Riccoboni Holding is an Italian Group leader in the integrated environmental management sector, treatment and disposal of special waste and remediation from pollutants. Today it is an industrial partner of companies with national and international profiles. The organization, which has over 200 employees and 59 operational sites in Italy and abroad, is composed of 4 autonomous companies Riccoboni Spa, Grassano Spa, Tecnoambiente and Eco.Impresa specialized in different areas of environmental management and circular economy. Circular economy and corporate social responsibility. In addition to building production and consumption models that are increasingly respectful of natural resources, Riccoboni Holding has been engaged for years in CSR projects, including support for social and cultural realities in the territory, environmental education initiatives, reforestation plans and participation in the establishment of the Foundation for Sustainable Development. A tangible commitment that the company has put in black and white in its first Sustainability Report, mapping and precisely measuring its environmental, social and economic performance.

The Amapola project

Riccoboni Holding’s 2021 Sustainability Report is a document drafted according to GRI standards (Global Reporting Initiative), the reference organization worldwide for sustainability reporting. The international framework also enters the document through the SDGs, the Sustainable Development Goals identified by the UN in 2015, related to the company’s activities. The report is a photograph of the past year and at the same time is a look towards the future: the document, in fact, refers to a medium-long term temporal dimension through the story of the Holding’s future objectives. The publication was designed with great attention to the accessibility and usability of its contents, so that it could reach as many people as possible (and not just industry professionals). The theme of the circular economy is explored and presented in its cardinal themes to readers, contextualizing Riccoboni’s role within the national panorama. Circularity, moreover, is also the main theme of the entire graphic-visual apparatus, in close dialogue with the corporate Brand Identity and enriched with graphics and tables that facilitate the reading and understanding of data. An attention that is also found in the choice of tone of voice and storytelling, simple, exhaustive and accessible to all stakeholders.
