Governing AI, building relationships: Amapola joins Polisophia’s upcoming events

Appuntamenti Polisophia maggio

Two new events on responsible innovation, taking place in Rome and Turin.

Following its launch last November, Polisophia is continuing its public programme with two new events exploring Artificial Intelligence and its implications for businesses, institutions, professions and society.

Amapola is among the organisations that have joined the Community for Responsible Innovation, founded by Ruben Razzante, Professor of Information Law at Università Cattolica in Milan and Lumsa University in Rome. The project was created to promote a multidisciplinary understanding of technological innovation and to build a space for dialogue across different areas of expertise, sectors and perspectives.

Rather than a traditional think tank, Polisophia is a platform for dialogue that aims to place people, responsibility and the quality of relationships at the heart of digital transformation. This is a vision that strongly resonates with our own way of understanding sustainability.

The Rome event on 12 May

The first event will take place on Tuesday 12 May, from 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Palazzo Altieri, the headquarters of ABI, in Rome. Titled “Artificial Intelligence: challenges for businesses, institutions and professionals”, the event will offer an opportunity to explore the new scenarios opened up by AI, with a focus on governance, the protection of rights, responsible innovation and the impact on professions.

The morning will also include the presentation of “The algorithm’s pendulum. Multidisciplinary perspectives on Artificial Intelligence“, the first collective volume published by Polisophia, edited by Ruben Razzante and published by FrancoAngeli. The book brings together contributions from different fields and perspectives, with the aim of moving beyond fragmented views of AI and encouraging a shared reflection on its cultural, legal, economic and social implications.

Sergio Vazzoler, Co-founder, Partner and Director of Strategy and Institutional Relations at Amapola, will take part in the presentation of the volume, together with representatives from companies, associations, professional bodies and other organisations involved in the community.

The event at the Turin International Book Fair

The second event will be held on Friday 15 May, from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., at the Turin International Book Fair, in the Lingotto venue, Galleria Visitatori, Sala Avorio. Organised in collaboration with FrancoAngeli, the event will be dedicated to “The algorithm’s pendulum” and will feature Mario Di Giulio, Ruben Razzante, Sergio Vazzoler and Maria Chiara Vola. It is also part of the programme celebrating FrancoAngeli’s 70th anniversary.

For Amapola, contributing to this journey means bringing to the conversation the perspective of those who work on sustainability and responsible communication: dimensions that are increasingly central to making innovation understandable, shared and truly generative.
