Our partnership continues as we support the company in making its ESG reporting more structured and accessible.
Following the first edition of its Sustainability Report in 2023, developed with Amapola’s support, Dimensione Ambiente chose to continue its reporting journey by involving us once again for its 2024 Sustainability Report.
For the company, this new reporting project marks a further step in the development of an industrial model based on the circular economy, care for people, and stronger ESG governance—one in which reporting and communication become strategic tools for transparency towards the market and stakeholders alike.
About Dimensione Ambiente
Dimensione Ambiente is a waste management company operating across Italy and beyond, offering a turnkey service that covers the collection, transport, disposal and recovery of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Over time, the Group has established itself as a key player in the sector, combining industrial expertise, investment in technology and an increasingly strong focus on ESG issues.
A voluntary report, with a more robust structure and closer alignment with European standards
Dimensione Ambiente’s 2024 Sustainability Report remains a voluntary disclosure, but it marks a significant step forward in methodological terms.
With Amapola’s support, the report was:
-
aligned with the VSME Standards, the new European framework designed for SMEs reporting on sustainability, bringing the company’s reporting model closer to leading market practices;
-
developed in line with the GRI Standards, to ensure quality, comparability and continuity of information.
This means the company has chosen to align voluntarily with some of the most advanced reporting standards available, even though it is not yet subject to the requirements introduced by the CSRD.
Key figures from the 2024 Report
Among the results highlighted in the 2024 Report are:
-
more than 1 million tonnes of waste managed, including both hazardous and non-hazardous waste;
-
around 30% of waste sent for recycling or recovery;
-
approximately 20% of energy consumption covered by self-generated renewable energy;
-
79 employees across the Group;
-
zero workplace accidents recorded in 2024;
-
stable revenue performance and the launch of the Sustainability Committee.
Taken together with the company’s strategy, these figures tell the story of an ESG journey that continues to evolve and is firmly rooted in day-to-day operations.
Training and materiality: the journey built with Amapola
Work on the 2024 Report started with people. Together with Dimensione Ambiente, we designed and delivered an internal ESG training session aimed at sharing the Group’s sustainability strategy with the team, explaining the purpose and value of the Report, and preparing everyone for their subsequent involvement in the materiality analysis. It was a valuable opportunity for discussion, helping to strengthen awareness and participation and turning reporting into a shared process rather than simply a technical exercise.
The materiality analysis was one of the project’s core elements. We developed a multi-stakeholder questionnaire for suppliers, employees and customers, collected and analysed the responses, and supported Dimensione Ambiente in interpreting the results.
Data collection, content development and graphic design
At the same time, we worked on gathering and organising ESG data, translating the material topics into indicators updated for 2024 and supporting the company’s internal teams in completing reporting templates, verifying the information and validating it with management.
This process laid the foundations for the Report itself: a shared structure, clear chapters, and data presented in a readable and well-contextualised way, with Amapola responsible for editing, title development, content organisation and the final graphic design of the document.
A new “Sustainability” webpage bringing data closer to stakeholders
Our work with Dimensione Ambiente did not stop with the Report. We also developed the Group’s new “Sustainability” webpage, designed to make the report’s content more immediate and accessible for customers, partners, institutions and local communities.
The page translates the company’s ESG vision into a digital format, highlighting the year’s main results, material topics and areas of impact through accessible language and a structure designed to support easy navigation.
Towards an increasingly transparent industrial model
With its 2024 Sustainability Report and the new dedicated webpage, Dimensione Ambiente is strengthening an industrial model that is increasingly transparent, responsible and focused on sustainable value creation.
At Amapola, we are proud to be part of this journey, bringing together our expertise in reporting, ESG and communication to turn data and processes into a clear, reliable narrative that speaks directly to stakeholders.
