Join Amapola’s webinar on sustainability reporting.

On Thursday, 5 February 2026, Amapola will host the webinar “What to Expect from Sustainability Reporting in 2026” (12:00–12:40 CET, live on Zoom). In 40 minutes, through a conversation format, we’ll cut through the noise around regulatory developments and real market expectations, with a practical, decision-oriented approach. Register here.

A topic that remains highly relevant

In 2026, sustainability reporting is entering a period of adjustment—understandably raising a lot of questions. The debate around the “Omnibus” package and potential revisions and simplifications of the European framework has prompted a widespread doubt: is sustainability reporting becoming less relevant? And, more importantly, does it still make sense to invest time and resources in reporting when there is no direct legal requirement?

For many companies, the answer doesn’t depend on regulation alone. It depends on the market. Even when obligations shift or timelines change, ESG information requests continue to flow through value chains and financial relationships. Lead customers, procurement teams, banks and providers of subsidised finance increasingly ask for structured evidence: baseline data, governance, commitments and results. In this context, the key question is not “Do I have to report?”, but a more practical one: what information do I need to be credible and reliable in the eyes of the market?

What we will cover in the 5 February sustainability reporting webinar

This next online webinar is designed precisely around that question. The session will take the form of a dialogue between Giulia Devani, Head of Reporting at Amapola, and Micol Burighel, Head of Communication. The goal is to provide a pragmatic compass: a clear, up-to-date view of the context and an essential pathway to set up meaningful voluntary reporting—without overburdening processes and organisation.

We will open with a quick update on the 2026 landscape. The aim is not to dive into technicalities, but to separate what can genuinely influence business decisions from more superficial interpretations. In a fast-moving environment, it becomes crucial to understand which signals to monitor, which scenarios are most likely, and what practical implications may emerge for companies operating in structured value chains or maintaining an ongoing dialogue with banks and economic stakeholders.

The second part will focus on value chains and market requirements. Even when a company is not required to publish a sustainability report, it may still need to respond to questionnaires, documentation requests and ESG criteria embedded in contracts, tenders or supplier qualification processes. Building a stable, coherent set of information makes it easier to respond efficiently and improves the quality of dialogue with lead customers and partners.

The third part will be hands-on and dedicated to the fundamentals of a voluntary report. An effective report is not a stylistic exercise: it helps align communication and management, reduces the risk of inconsistent messaging, and offers the market a clear, comparable picture that can be updated over time. Within this framework, we will explore the VSME standard as a practical reference for developing lean but credible reporting. The focus will be on how to apply it proportionately—avoiding overly complex approaches and concentrating on the information that truly matters to respond to external requests with authority and consistency.

We look forward to seeing you

The webinar is free of charge and aimed at managers and company representatives working across sustainability, administration, finance, procurement, communication and stakeholder management—anyone looking to turn reporting into a tool for market dialogue rather than a purely formal requirement.
