Bringing Synesthesia’s sustainability to life
Synesthesia is a digital experience company that develops strategies and projects for digital transformation, service design, marketing and communication, events and training. Technology, innovation, creativity and passion are the values at the basis of the company’s philosophy, which, to confirm a sustainability path already started, has recently established itself as a Benefit Corporation.
For a mature reality like Synesthesia, Amapola’s support aimed to bring out and enhance the sustainable action that the company already implements, operating on a consultancy and laboratory level.
Amapola’s project for Synesthesia
In detail, the intervention concerned:
-
- Support for defining the sustainability strategy: assessment, mapping of stakeholders and relevant issues, first materiality analysis, definition of ESG commitments and targets.
-
- Support in structuring data collection for the first Impact Report as a benefit corporation.
-
- Co-design workshop to share the definition and sustainability strategy of the company, in relation to the reporting process.
A workshop for Synesthesia’s sustainability journey
The co-design workshop addressed some specific steps, exploring in detail:
-
- Stakeholder mapping: who are they, in what power relationship are they?
-
- Definition of material issues and first draft of “materiality matrix”, going through a benchmark of realities similar to Synesthesia that have published the Impact Report
-
- Connection of common benefit objectives (and consequently of projects) to materiality
-
- Presentation and choice of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and connection with material issues and common benefit objectives
-
- First verbalization of Synesthesia’s “sustainable mission” in relation to what emerged
-
- Emergence of projects (confirmations of those in progress, new projects in line with the strategy) for 2023 and the years to come and first definition of KPIs
The results of the workshop gave life to a document returning the work done.
