E.ON ITALIA – Sustainability Report

The sustainability journey of E.ON Italia

E.ON Italia is part of one of the major European energy groups and stands out for its commitment to decarbonization, renewable development and the promotion of more sustainable, accessible and inclusive energy. Since 2021, it has voluntarily published its own Sustainability Report, with the objective of sharing results and strategies of the Italian entity in a transparent and targeted manner. In 2024 we were chosen as knowledge partner to accompany the company in creating the new report, contributing with a strategic and integrated approach. An assignment that saw us engaged in the main work phases: from initial gap analysis to document structure design, from data collection to text writing according to GRI standards.

The Amapola project

The document was conceived from the beginning as a narrative and dialogic tool, accessible, engaging and focused on the central nodes of the company’s ESG strategy. We worked to give coherence and fluidity to the narrative, structuring it around the company’s identity pillars: vision, environmental impacts, attention to people, communities and the relationship with the territory. Particular attention was dedicated to the process of impact materiality analysis: the document is in fact enriched by a series of qualitative interviews with authoritative external stakeholders selected by the company – representatives from the business, academic, sports and social inclusion worlds, who gather differentiated perspectives, in line with the most relevant ESG priorities for E.ON Italia. The result is a report open to stakeholder voices and future-oriented, capable of speaking to different audiences and strengthening E.ON’s positioning as a central player in the energy transition.
