“At Arriva Italia, with the support of Amapola, we started our sustainability reporting journey in 2023, the year we published our first Sustainability Report. This year, this fruitful collaboration has allowed us to develop a second Report that testifies to our shared commitment to perfect data collection and consolidate the reporting process.”
Being able to count on Amapola’s support in defining the sustainability communication strategy is definitely a plus. Francesca Santagata

The first certified sustainability report for Arriva Italia
Since 2023, Arriva Italia, leader in local public transport, has chosen Amapola for consultancy in sustainability reporting. In 2024 the company published its first certified Sustainability Report: the evaluation by an independent audit firm guarantees its transparency and reliability. With this important step, Arriva Italia consolidates its ESG path, anticipating the requirements of the new European CSRD directive and confirming its commitment to responsible and reliable business.
The 2023 Report also introduces double materiality, which integrates the evaluation of the company’s environmental and social impacts with the analysis of the effects of ESG themes on economic performance. The double materiality analysis was carried out through a process of stakeholder involvement, which allowed their points of view to be integrated within the corporate strategy.
Multi-channel enhancement and territorial declinations
Amapola handled Arriva Italia’s Sustainability Report in every phase, supporting the internal work team: data collection and analysis, materiality analysis, stakeholder engagement, text writing and editing, graphic-creative project, layout, additional communication tools. The graphic project, characterized by infographics, tables and an accessible layout, facilitates reading and transmits results clearly to make the document content truly usable for a wide audience.
We also created enhancement tools to expand the Report’s reach, such as the document summary, a series of social cards to tell the main results and a video infographic for digital channels. As in previous years, the Arriva Sustainability Report is accompanied by six territorial versions, one for each context in which the company operates. These local declinations allow direct dialogue with communities, making Arriva Italia’s impact in the different territories where it operates tangible and “closer”.
The translation of the Report and summary has further facilitated the dissemination and access to stakeholder information.

The project for Arriva Udine
Amapola also supported Arriva Udine in the Sustainability Report, part of the Arriva Italia Group that provides local public transport service by road and sea in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Our consultancy extends to the entire reporting process: we supported the Arriva Udine internal team from the preliminary phases of data collection and analysis, materiality analysis and stakeholder involvement, up to text writing and graphic-visual project. The reporting document is designed to be easily usable and accessible in content. The graphics are inspired by those of the parent company Arriva Italia, giving continuity and coherence to the document from a visual and stylistic point of view.
