A strategic, clear and accessible document that tells the story of AVSI’s impact worldwide – with numbers, stories and vision.
There is a common thread running through every AVSI initiative around the world: the belief that development is built day by day through the construction of peace. It is from this vision that “Azioni di pace” (“Actions of Peace”), AVSI’s 2024 Social Report, was born – a document that clearly, narratively and accessibly conveys the impact generated by over 300 active projects in 41 countries, directly benefiting more than 4 million people.
For this new edition, AVSI chose to start working with Amapola, to strengthen the transparency of its work and turn reporting into a powerful tool for trust, identity and dialogue.
Stakeholder-centred reporting
The Social Report highlights the numbers – €111.7 million managed, 89.26% of resources allocated to projects, 20,414 children supported through distance support, 2,118 collaborators – but doesn’t stop there. It offers a rich and structured picture that combines data and thematic focus areas, giving space to achieved results and future perspectives, with particular attention to key issues in international cooperation: education, work, health, food security, environment, human rights.
A new step on the environmental front
For the first time, the Social Report also includes the calculation of emissions from three Italian offices, carried out by our technical partner 3i Efficientamento Energetico using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol methodology. This work allows AVSI to understand and monitor its environmental impact, paving the way for future mitigation and improvement pathways.
Communicating to enhance impact
Alongside the Italian version of the document, the project also included the creation of an international Annual Report – available in English, French and Spanish – and additional communication tools such as a summary version, social media cards, an institutional presentation and a video. All of these were designed to support the dissemination of the content among stakeholders, donors and partners in global contexts.
