Training, facilitation and internal engagement: the training workshop on conflict management for Rete del Dono

Rete Del Dono is a B Corp that has created and manages the homonymous crowdfunding and personal fundraising platform aimed at non-profit organizations, individuals and companies that want to support projects of solidarity and social and cultural utility, solidarity and civic engagement. The company expressed the need to organize a conflict management workshop for its internal team of 11 people, to be carried out in person in the company’s spaces in Turin. Amapola made available its experience in training, facilitation and internal engagement to support Rete Del Dono in this conflict management project and thus achieve a series of objectives:
    • analyze personal perceptions and bring out shared problems
    • provide tools for effective communication in one’s professional context
    • train in prevention, management and transformation of conflict situations and the stress burden that derives from them.
The intervention took place through an experiential workshop enhanced by exercises, simulations and role playing, with the aim of actively involving those present, bringing out and taking into account the experiences, needs and areas for improvement of everyone.

Amapola’s project

A series of work phases followed. 1. Introductory and emergence phase
    • Group formation and climate care
    • Analysis of strengths, areas for improvement and needs of participants in the communication field
2. Experiential training phase
    • The impact of the relational component: from contrast (on merit) to conflict (on relationship)
    • Interaction modalities and conflict prevention: moving from positions to interests
    • The intentional use of feedback and circular communication to overcome distortions and barriers
    • The value of active listening and suspension of judgment
    • Non-Violent Communication: going through conflict by bringing attention to observations, feelings, needs, requests
    • Adopting empathetic listening (NVC) to preserve oneself from stress and blame attributions
    • Negativity and dysfunctional behaviors: origin, levels and practical tools
3. Active workshop phase
    • Develop and exercise the ability to manage and transform negative and oppositional behaviors, one’s own and others’
    • Workshop on real cases and elaboration of shared best practices.
