After graduating in International and Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Genoa, Giulia moved temporarily to Strasbourg to follow her European dreams. On her return, she was awarded a doctoral fellowship in European integration history and policy, and spent the next three years immersed in the academic world.

Her conversion to communication, and political communication in particular, came in 2009, when, after joining the MR & Associati Comunicazione team, she worked closely with the press office of the then President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano.

Over the next 10 years, her professional focus was on network monitoring for international organisations, online reputation management and participation in crisis management processes.

After a short spell working in a completely different field, Giulia began a new chapter in her working life when she joined Amapola in 2021.

Off duty, she shares her life with a lively small daughter, an eclectic artist husband who divides his time between microphones and the kitchen, and a faithful if wild marmalade cat. She enjoys yoga and devours books and TV series. Nothing makes her happier than the thought of a day by the sea.
