CSI Piemonte, il progetto di reporting con Amapola

A new two-year assignment from one of Italy’s leading ICT organizations, based in the Piedmont region.

We are proud to support CSI Piemonte in developing a structured and future-ready sustainability reporting system. The Consortium has chosen Amapola as its partner for the preparation of its 2024 and 2025 sustainability reports. These reports will align with the goals of the 2030 Agenda and the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, which CSI officially joined in 2024.

This assignment reaffirms Amapola’s expertise in sustainability reporting and strengthens our presence in both the city of Turin and the wider Piedmont region.

CSI Piemonte: digital innovation serving local communities

Founded in 1977 by the Piedmont Region, the University of Turin and the Polytechnic University of Turin, CSI Piemonte (Consortium for the Piedmont Information System) is now one of Italy’s major ICT players. It develops digital solutions for public administrations and regional stakeholders, delivering innovative technologies that make life easier for both citizens and businesses.

Sustainability is already deeply embedded in the Consortium’s values and strategy. Since 2005, CSI has voluntarily published an annual Sustainability Report to measure and communicate the impact of its work. This commitment is also reflected in the many certifications the organization holds, including ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 27001 (Information Security), ISO 45001 (Health and Safety), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 50001 (Energy Efficiency).

Demonstrating its strong focus on equity, CSI Piemonte has adopted a Gender Equality Policy and earned the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification. It has also been recognized for four consecutive years as one of Italy’s top employers in the Italy’s Best Employers ranking.

The project: building a roadmap for strategic, future-proof reporting

Amapola will support CSI Piemonte throughout this process, with the aim of developing a reporting framework that is both strategic and organizationally robust. The project will begin with a thorough gap analysis to identify key ESG priorities and areas for improvement, aligned with the evolving requirements of EU legislation.

This foundation will guide the development of the 2024 Sustainability Report, designed as both a measurement tool and a storytelling platform for CSI’s sustainability journey. Amapola will assist every step of the way—from data collection and stakeholder engagement to the materiality assessment, writing, graphic design and layout.

The process will continue and deepen the following year with the creation of the 2025 report, bringing CSI even closer to the standards outlined in the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. While not mandatory for CSI, the CSRD provides a valuable framework to strive toward, ensuring transparency and accountability for all stakeholders.

A strategic collaboration

For Amapola, this project marks another important milestone in a field where we’ve built strong credibility and proven expertise. Working with a respected institution like CSI Piemonte allows us to strengthen our presence in a key region and foster deeper local partnerships.

“The two-year duration of this project,” says Giulia Devani, leader of Amapola’s Reporting team, “gives us the opportunity to establish long-term value through a gradual and well-managed development of tools and processes. These will support CSI Piemonte in enhancing its sustainability commitments in a tangible, lasting way.”
