Randstad Italia: innovation and inclusivity in the 2023 Integrated Report
More than 313,000 hours of training and jobs for over 197,000 people, new milestones in sustainability and gender parity.
Training, inclusion and support for the community: Randstad Italia, the leading company in human resources services, has presented its 2023 Integrated Report – Partner for talent. Once again, support for the project was provided by Amapola.
Close to people and communities
In a context with a growing shortage of talent, Randstad continues to recognise the crucial importance of training. In 2023, it provided more than 313,000 hours of training and placed over 197,000 people in jobs. In line with the Group sustainability objectives, it organised a wide range of initiatives to support equal opportunities, parenthood, reskilling and employability, and also obtained UNI PdR 125:2022 gender parity certification.
Randstad also sponsored some important projects for the community. One of these is “Without Borders”, set up to enable around one hundred people from several African countries and Ukraine to integrate into Italy’s social and economic fabric through support for training and job placement.
Focus on the environment
Although social and community-related themes are certainly priorities for the Randstad business, the company also pays attention to environmental issues. 100% of electricity purchases come from renewable sources. Randstad Italia has introduced a set of environmental rules as a guide to sustainable practices. In addition, 80% of working days took place in smart working, reducing impacts on the environment and improving employee wellbeing.
Illustrating Randstad Italia sustainability through reporting
For a number of years, Randstad Italia has used the Integrated Report to illustrate its sustainability commitment.
“As an organisation, we feel we have a responsibility to make our contribution to economic, social and environmental sustainability for businesses, people, communities and the planet,” says Randstad Italia CEO Marco Ceresa. “Our goal is to convey the message that what counts in the workplace is not just the result achieved, but how it was achieved. Not just the benefit obtained as such, but also how much value was shared.”
For the seventh consecutive year, Randstad Italia engaged Amapola to edit the texts and manage the creative-graphics project and page layout of the 2023 Integrated Report. Deloitte was responsible for collecting and reviewing the data. The graphics design was completely restyled in accordance with the Group’s new guidelines, to make the report informative, transparent and accessible, but also visually appealing and engaging. The organisation of the content was carefully planned in close collaboration with the Randstad CSR division, selecting the areas and experiences to be highlighted for incisive storytelling. This approach puts stakeholder engagement centre stage, to make the Report accessible to the greatest possible number of people.
