Meet the CSR Leaders 2023: the CSR Show and Amapola project for the new generations hoping for a career in sustainability
The second edition of Meet the CSR Leaders gets underway. One-to-one orientation sessions to discuss skills, training and work experiences in sustainable development.
The eleventh edition of the CSR and Social Innovation Show, Italy’s leading event on these issues, sees the return of Meet the CSR Leaders, the project that brings together the new generations and sustainability professionals. Promoted by the CSR Show in partnership with Amapola, Meet the CSR Leaders will be held during the three-day event (4, 5 and 6 October 2023), at the Bocconi University in Milan.
The new generations meet sustainability leaders
How do you become a Sustainability Manager? What are the other sustainability professions? What skills do you need? In a society undergoing sweeping changes, ESG knowhow is and will increasingly be in high demand, a core skill for people entering the world of employment.
Meet the CSR Leaders is an opportunity for dialogue between the new generations and professionals who already work in sustainability. Participants will be able to book a personal one-to-one orientation session, lasting around 30 minutes, with one of the experts at the Show. The session will give them the opportunity to explore sustainability issues and learn how to steer a professional path in the field by receiving advice from people who deal with the challenges of sustainability on a daily basis.
The 2023 program
The schedule for the orientation sessions will be as follows:
- Wednesday 4/10 from 10 to 12 a.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m.
- Thursday 5/10 from 10 to 12 a.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m.
- Friday 6/10 from 10 to 12 a.m.
Sessions can be booked through this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/biglietti-meet-the-csr-leaders-2023-637894699217 no later than 3/10/2023.
Living change, the eleventh edition of the Show
«Living change is the title we’ve chosen for this edition of the Show. One of the areas in which change is happening is training, to which, in addition to Meet the CSR Leaders, we shall be devoting a whole series of talks and events,» says Rossella Sobrero, the event organiser. «Educating people about sustainability means providing tools to understand and manage complex problems, encourage responsible behaviour, create synergies among business, the institutions, the non-profit world and training, and strengthen inter-generational dialogue. This is what we want to do with Meet the CSR Leaders: look to the future and support the generations who will be living tomorrow’s changes.»
The second edition of Meet the CSR Leaders
The project is being organised for the second time. In 2022, it consisted of 10 hours of one-to-one orientation sessions over 3 days, involving 43 young people, who had the opportunity to meet and talk with 23 Sustainability Managers. Interviews with some of the protagonists can be seen on YouTube here. «Students, young people entering the world of employment, startuppers: Meet the CSR Leaders was received with enthusiasm and interest. It also received a passionate response from the professionals, who were keen to offer their time and advice,» comments Amapola partner Elena Mancino. «The goal this year is to multiply the spaces set aside for the sessions, and involve more people in a larger number of meetings. We really believe that a focus on training is key to breathe life into a new model of sustainable development.»
