Jane was born in the UK and graduated in 1975 with a joint honours degree in Modern Languages from the Cambridgeshire College of Arts & Technology. She came to Italy in 1976 to teach English. The following year she joined the Olivetti Group as a translator and interpreter with the Press Office in the Communication & Image area, working in media relations, external relations and internal communication, as well as collaborating with the studies and strategies division and the administration and control division.

In 1990 she left Olivetti to handle language services at PR agency PDC Produzione di Comunicazione, which in 2008 took the name Homina PDC following a merger operation.

She moved to Amapola in 2010 as a senior consultant for language services and internationalisation and in 2018 extended her collaboration to Amapola’s sister company Dotwords.

Thanks to a large and ever growing family – based in Italy, the UK, the USA, Germany and Australia – Jane has always lived in an international environment. Through her professional life she has developed a love of words and language, which in her free time she indulges in amateur dramatics and literature.
