The Group is publishing its second report. The project was developed by Amapola, in technical partnership with 3i group.

The Autosped G Group, a long-established business operation in the Alessandria area, is consolidating its sustainability journey: its progress is reflected in the 2022 Sustainability Report, the publication that brings together and illustrates all of the Group’s sustainability projects, results and information.

Autosped G is an industrial group controlled by the Gavio family through the Aurelia Srl holding, which operates in transportation, logistics, vehicle construction, canning and major sports events. This is the Group’s second Sustainability Report, and, once again, is published on a voluntary basis. Amapola has assisted the Group from the start of its reporting journey.

An extensive network

Revenues for more than € 835 million, 2,200 employees, 31 operating sites and 3,700 vehicles. These are some of the key figures of the Autosped G Group for 2022. The report reflects an extensive and complex organisation, present in a variety of sectors all committed to sustainable and responsible development. The scope of the report has expanded compared with 2021. The thirteen companies included in last year’s report are joined in the new edition by the two acquisitions from 2022, Ferrari Aldo Trasporti srl, now FA Chemical Logistic Srl, a well-regarded transporter of chemical and other substances, and Lisante Service, an innovative company in bamboo processing.

The document examines every facet of ESG activities (environmental, social, governance), from internal policies to the Group’s many certifications, from projects for its workforce to those for the community. Initiatives include the allocation of one million euro to its employees to help them deal with the cost-of-living crisis, support for the Castelnuovo Scrivia Basketball Club and the promotion of the “Randstad for Driving” academy for new drivers in the Tortona area. Special attention is also paid to analysis of the Group’s environmental impacts, through the technical partnership with 3i group.

Strategic sustainability objectives

Confirming its increasingly wide-ranging sustainability strategy and growing commitment to its stakeholders, the report also sets out the medium-term ESG objectives the Group worked on during 2022 in Health & Safety, Environment, Training, Governance, Diversity & Inclusion, which were identified during work sessions facilitated by the team from Amapola.

«In a profoundly dynamic area like corporate sustainability – where publication of ESG reports will soon be mandatory for large numbers of companies – we decided it was vital to continue on this journey even though we are not yet required to do so by law,» says the Group CEO, Luca Giorgi. «Our sustainability strategy must take our main interlocutors into account: this is why our Sustainability Report focuses on dialogue with our stakeholders, whom we involved in establishing the material topics on which to report.»

To enlarge the audience of readers of the report and open up to the needs of its stakeholders, this year the Group decided to translate the report into English, for its international partners. A flexible informative summary has also been prepared, for easy access to the report data.
