Joining forces for work that makes you feel good. Randstad Italia publishes its 2022 Integrated Report
The corporate sustainability document is based on a concept that sees work as an opportunity to grow and to build value and dignity. The project was handled by Amapola.
Concrete support for parenting, employment for of immigrants, diversity, equity and inclusion policies, respect for the work-life balance and continuous training. In its 2022 Integrated Report, Randstad Italia presents the sustainable vision that underpins its activities, and, starting with the title, focuses on a concept of work geared to value sharing, relationship nurturing and professional well-being. This year once again, the company assigned the project to Amapola.
2022 at Randstad Italia
Randstad Italia responded to the significant challenges of 2022 and their effects, from geopolitical tensions to the commodities crisis, inflation and a problematic demographic situation, by investing with conviction in the community, launching new social responsibility initiatives and confirming the projects set up in previous years.
Among 2022 projects, Grow-Up provided substantial support – with contributions totalling 370,000 euro – to new parents with the aim of giving hope and boosting the confidence of the new generations so that they can enjoy the same possibilities as previous generations. The company also confirmed its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, where it continued work on a number of initiatives. These included HOpportunities, the division that specialises in the recruitment of people with different skills, and Without Borders, a project for the employment and training of refugees and immigrants, which last year focused specifically on people from Ukraine. The company also maintained its commitment to gender equality issues (77% of Randstad employees are women) and to raising sensitivity to sentimental orientation, an area where it has held GEEIS – Diversity international certification for many years.
«For Randstad Italia, being a responsible company means doing business where economic sustainability is coupled with social sustainability, so multiplying our impact,» comments Laura Carletti, CSR & HR Manager and Vso Ambassador Randstad Italia. «This value-based strategic approach is translated into practical daily action and concrete projects, into initiatives to support and care for the well-being of people and our planet. The Integrated Report is the place where we tell our stakeholders about all this: a way of saying thank you that opens up engagement and discussion».
Focus on people
The Randstad Italia 2022 Integrated Report also illustrates the company’s great attention to its people, reflected in continuous skilling projects and the organisation of more than 69,000 hours of internal training, policies to guarantee a good work-life balance such as smart working, welfare initiatives and internal engagement.
In fact, people are at the heart of the report. Each of its eight chapters presents the faces and words of the company’s managers, who describe at first hand the role and meaning of sustainability in their professional life, in video-interviews that can be accessed via links, with captions to assist the hearing-impaired.
«Sustainability is a galaxy made up of many elements,» explains Amapola partner Alberto Marzetta. «Beliefs, ideas about the future, behaviour, desires. They are incorporated into the 2022 Integrated Report through the accounts of the people who work in the company with responsibility and attention, with the goal of making its people “feel good”. All these elements are combined in a pragmatic long-term business vision of which sustainability is an integral and distinctive part».
The Amapola project for Randstad Italia 2022 Integrated Report
Amapola handled the drafting and editing, and designed the report graphics. The storytelling uses a simple easy-to-understand language to help the reader explore data and sustainability projects. The graphics are an additional aid to accessibility, enhancing the immediacy of the report contents with charts, highlights and infographics. The agency also organised the interviews with managers – from authorial activities to post-production.
The 2022 edition will be accompanied by a summary presenting the key data from the Integrated Report. Distributed in hard copy to all the branches for prospects and clients, the summary describes the company’s sustainability commitment for a broad and not solely technical audience. It consists of 8 cards with infographics and brief explanatory texts to simplify understanding of often lengthy and complex content.
